Job Description
Reporting to senior management, the role holder will be responsible for creating, developing, and proposing functional and aesthetic interior design concepts for residential or commercial buildings based on client needs. They will prepare execution drawings and take part in coordinating the design work. They will also ensure the quality of project execution and compliance with applicable standards and codes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to determine needs, budgets, timelines, and constraints;
- Create and review technical plans and 3D renderings;
- Carry out on-site measurements;
- Complete and refine proposed design concepts;
- Research interior finishing products, materials, and furnishings;
- Assess costs and required materials;
- Prepare plans and execution details for the final interior design in line with best practices and applicable codes;
- Ensure good coordination between the project manager, the superintendent, and subcontractors;
- Work closely with other team members (architect, project manager, superintendent) to ensure good communication among everyone involved;
- Manage the technical aspects of the construction process, including lighting, plumbing, and coordination of installations.
Candidate Profile
Education/experience/certification/knowledge
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design;
- University and/or college degree in interior design;
- Expert-level knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp software
- Knowledge of Revit software (an asset);
- Knowledge of Photoshop (an asset);
- Proficiency with the Office suite;
- Excellent written and spoken French;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Working Conditions
- Work schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday;
- Flexible hours, starting between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and ending between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.;
