Job Description
Reporting to senior management, the role holder will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing technical plans for residential or commercial projects based on client needs. They will also ensure the quality of project execution and compliance with applicable standards and codes. The role also includes reviewing junior technologists’ plans for compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to determine needs, budgets, timelines, and constraints;
Design residential building drawings using CAD or Revit based on needs and criteria established with clients;
Carry out site measurements and drafting of existing buildings for renovation projects;
Draw technical construction details as well as various mechanical systems (electrical, plumbing, ventilation, etc.);
Produce presentation architectural models and 3D renderings of architectural drawings;
Prepare technical drawings and specifications for changes required on site;
Analyze building codes, municipal bylaws, and architectural siting regulations;
Prepare documentation for various municipalities (permit applications, surveyor coordination);
Collaborate, as needed, with the interior design team and the project manager on site during project execution;
Mentor junior technologists.
Candidate Profile
Education/experience/certification/knowledge
- 5 to 10 years of experience as an architecture technologist;
- Teaching experience (an asset);
College diploma in architectural technology or a bachelor’s degree in architecture;
Knowledge of REVIT software (an asset)
Expert-level knowledge of AutoCAD software;
Proficiency with the Office suite;
Excellent written and spoken French;
Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Working Conditions
- Work schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday;
- Flexible hours, starting between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and ending between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.;
